Mpire’s Young Life sat down with Mpire-Online.com to discuss all things Mpire and what’s in store from his upcoming mixtape ‘This is the Life Vol. 2.’. MIO: This is the Life Vol. 1 was a big success with the fans, what should we expect from vol. 2?

Young Life: I wouldn’t say a big success, but I definitely have the people’s attention for “This is the Life”Vol2 ” I told The Boss (Ja Rule) I Got em” I’m showin’ The Fans. An in depth view of my talent and my songwriting skills.

Do you have any guest features or producers on this mixtape?

Well you know I have my Mpire Family on there… I use a Couple new producers. That weren’t on Vol, my Nigga J30 from the Bx and a dude who goes by the name Kajmar Royale, he got some heat and I got a joint from Mickey T the Moviestar that I’m going to throw on Vol2.

Do you plan on shooting any videos for any of the songs?

Oh yea I think the visual is important in one’s career, if they can’t see you, who are they suppose to like ? and I want the people to see my line of work.

Should we expect to hear you on PIL2 or the Renaissance Project?

Yea, we all recorded a bunch of records before Rule went in, so u should definitely catch me on one of them if not Both.

How have things been running at the Mpire since Rule went in? How is moral?

Everything’s running smoothly, you know things never feel the Same when your main guy is taken out of the loop, but we holding strong, we a Mpire and we got a job to do.

What are you planning to do to help establish Mpire while Ja is in prison? Do you have a role at the label, other than being an artist?

Yea, to give the people what they want, great music, I’m a Artist first, but we all have roles and that’s to win, that’s why we are Mpire, we work together and feed off of each other. There’s only 1 BossMan and he’s doing 18 Months.

Did Ja set up a plan for you all to follow while he’s in prison? What is the Plan?

Of course Rule always had and still has high hopes for the team, he wants us to work hard and give y’all great material, and stay consistent, stay in the peoples ear

Do you have plans to release an album in the near future? Are you signed under Fontana as well?

You know it, I been traveling with Rule since 2000. Known Rule since I was 8, all I ever wanted was to be a rapper, I came up under this shit. Hell yea I’m looking to give the world my first debut official Album., it’s coming stay tuned, timing is everything, trust me.

Who would you like to work with in the future?

I know allot of these Rapper personally that’s out today lol, I wouldn’t mind hoping on a track with a Drake, a Kayne, a Wayne, I would be looking to tare their head’s off on a track straight (go in.) I know allot of you wouldn’t believe me when I say it, y’all would just have the watch the show if it ever came on, If u know what I’m saying..

Any message for the fans on MIO?

Yea I read the blogs, I listen to music, I read comments, some bad and a whole lot of them great. I just gotta say while I’m here, I’m going to give y’all the best material possible, nothing watered down, everything official. I love the Fans that Love me and those that hate me.
